The Butcher is meant to serve as the main antagonist of the game. I wanted to make this character as grotesque and intimidating as possible, I had a few different concepts for him, including him having a pigs nose and wings, however I decided to go for a more “human” look for him.
Below is the rendered model, a created the majority of him within ZBrush, then exported him to blender and worked on making his wrinkles and folds more emphasized. The unwrapping and baking of this model I found wereparticularly awkward, the reason being the vertices weren’t very orderly in the high poly version, this means it toke quite a while to mark the seams for cutting. In the end, I managed to unwrap it with relative success.
