Creating monster sounds

The grunting I will be using for the butcher was an awkward sound to achieve, the audio was quite poor so I had to find ways to filter out the fizz. Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 13.57.35.png A few parts of the audio needed to be cut out with a simple editing tool, after that the pitch needed to be turned down quite low, in order to make the sound more intimidating as well as block out the fizz in the audio. Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 14.50.54.pngThe amp designer was an important part of this process, with this tool I was able to add a certain depth to the sound, making it sound like it would fit within the environment of the game. Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 14.43.05.pngThe last step was to try and filter out the fizz within the audio, for this I simply used the filter tool, this took a bit of toggling and didn’t take away it all, but most of it disappeared.
