Rigging Derek

To prepare for the animation phase of my project, I have decided to learn the basics of rigging. Because Derek is my main game character he is the top priority in animation.

I found creating the bones for Derek simple enough, I had a few problems creating an decent foot role ready for animation, however the problem was quickly fixed.

This particular rig was slightly different than most, The shape of the head made the wighting difficult and might cause me to redesign Derek’s mouth area. The problem is with the amount of separate objects in his mouth not wanting to join properly.

Redesign shouldn’t be too much of a problem, as I can keep the rig and replace the model. Screen Shot 2016-01-04 at 09.31.32.png
