Zbrush bust project

I decided to delve deeper into Zbrush and start a series of busts or full models to add to my portfolio and generally give me more experience in the program. I started with something simple, only creating the model using the following tools:

  • Clay
  • Clay buildup
  • Standard
  • Dm_Standard
  • Move
  • Smooth
  • Flatten
  • Alpha 25
  • Alpha 63

The model took roughly 6 – 7 hours to create and is, at the moment, untextured. I may return to this bust at some point to experiment with the ploypaint tools, but for now i’d like to get used to the modelling aspect.

The only problem I have with this particular model is that I went a bit overboard with the subdividing, so it has near 10 million polygons. This means it isn’t of much use practically however I will work on reducing the polygon count. Screen Shot 2015-10-07 at 13.01.50
